Contest Rules
Enter
as many times as you like in
any or all categories: appetizer,
entrée,
dessert, or drink. Recipes
should be original to the entrant
and serve up to 8 persons. Submitting
a recipe constitutes permission
to reprint your submission,
and identify you as the entrant
without compensation. Winning
entrants understand that their
recipe will be re-worked for
appropriateness for a restaurant
menu. Winners
agree that Central
Coast Magazine and
Corner View Restaurant can
identify the entrant as the
author of the recipe. Deadline
for entry is July 31, 2009
Judging : The
staff of CCM ® will
prescreen recipes for viable
candidates and remove contestants'
identification before forwarding
potential finalists to Corner
View Restaurant for blind judging. Owners
Bill and Patty Carpenter of
Corner View will select finalist
recipes to be tested by their
chef, and will select the winners
based on a criterion of taste,
originality, and clarity of
the submitted recipe. Central
Coast Magazine will
feature the recipe contest
in its October issue. During
that month, Corner View's
menu will include four dishes
based on the winning recipes,
with a credit to the person(s)
who submitted them by name
and hometown. Winners
will be notified by August
15, 2009 by phone or email. Four
winners will be named--one
in each category. Winners will
be awarded a $100 Corner View
gift certificate, coverage
in Central
Coast Magazine ,
and a 1 year subscription to
CCM ® .
