Barrel O' Fun

Colorful barrels painted with lush scenery and artistic details were auctioned off at Tolosa Winery's first annual Barrels R Art event as part of the San Luis Obispo Vintners Harvest Celebration. Six local artists were commissioned to create these unique barrels, which pair art with wine in the most symbiotic and distinct manner. Guests sampled Tolosa's fine wines and feasted on a gourmet meal catered by Chef Megan Loring as they bid on the artwork. Legendary auctioneer Gil Stork encouraged the charitable spirit with his quick pattered banter. Attendees raised a total of $24,780 during the event, which benefited The Endowment for the Advancement of Children (TEACh) TEACh is an independent, non-profit community fund for education providing endowments for school programs for the classrooms of the San Luis Coastal Unified School District. Their donations allow school children the opportunity to enjoy educational opportunities they may not have previously had due to budget cuts and fluctuations.
